How would you like to enter a bookstore and find some lovely kittens greeting you?
This is what happens in Upper Tantallon, Nova Scotia, Canada, in the bookstore "Otis and Clementine’s Books And Coffee" - here's their site with the directions to reach them, the link to the article and the link to the South Paw Conservation Center, the association they cooperate with to find a forever home for the kitties:
According to the article on Global News, the owner of the store, Ellen Helmke, "realized she had a lot of space at the shop and decided to start taking in cats that needed to find a home." (quote from the article in the link above) And she decided to start a fostering program in cooperation with a local society.
"People come here specifically to see the cats, and then some people just wander in to look at books and discover there are kittens," she said. (quote from the article in the link above)
The results are amazing:) Cats and books have always been good companions and it's only great that someone had the idea to match them, giving these lovely creatures a new chance of life :) Thank you, Ellen, I wish there were more people like you :)
